Spring Fling 2009

Last Thursday was Olivia's Spring Program at Preschool. She was SO cute! I know, I know, I may be a little bit biased, but she really was! The kid has rhythm! Okay, so it may not be on the beat, or at the right time, but she was really rockin' out!

Christmas in...April??

Last weekend Pattie and Alvin were in Pigeon Forge staying at The Christmas Place Inn. They invited us to come up on Sunday morning for breakfast, so of course Olivia jumped at the chance to see "Pabbie." The hotel was really pretty, but it was kind of strange seeing everything decorated for Christmas in the springtime. It kind of made me ready for the holidays again!

Easter!

We are a little late with the obligatory Easter post, but we did have a great holiday! After church on Sunday, we went to my family's house and hunted eggs. Literally everyone hunted eggs. We had a great day, great food outside and super weather! Perfect Easter!
The Easter bunny came!!
Olivia is OBSESSED with movies now. So much to the point that I am having to limit the movies she watches during the day. A new favorite that she watched at my sister's house is ET. When she left to go spend the night with my family last week, Michael told her he would miss her. She grabbed his hand and made them touch fingers (ET style) and explained that they wouldn't miss each other that way.

Like I said, everyone hunted eggs. Adults included. And believe it or not, Olivia found the most eggs. Fair and square. I don't know if its the horrible allergies I had, or the fact that I had been to Olivia's egg hunts earlier in the week where they were laying on top of the grass. But I found 3.
I don't know why Michael didn't tell me it looked like I was peeking out from behind the children in this one...
Daddy with his girls
We hope everyone had a Happy Easter! Now I just need someone to come remove all the candy from my house that the bunny left!

Easter Egg Hunt

Sunday afternoon we went to our church's Easter Egg Hunt. It was really great, they hid about 5,000 eggs I think and I heard that over 600 people were there. It was really windy, but we had a great time! Here is Ana Blair, looking a little windblown.
AB and Daddy. This was before he shared a snow cone with her. No, I'm not kidding. He gave her a cherry snow cone.
Olivia with her eggs. She would pick it up, shake it to see if anyting was inside before she'd put it in her basket!
Olivia and Daddy decided it would be a good day for a pony tail to "keep her hair out of her face." Obviously after about 5 minutes in the wind, her hair was everywhere!
Olivia and her BFF Katherine.
Honestly, I don't know what I would have done without her. I barely saw Olivia after we got there and she got hooked up with Katherine.
And as thankful as I am for Katherine...I am so glad Olivia could already walk by the time we met her. This is how you will find them 99% of the time they are together.

O'Hare Hareport

Saturday, my mom, sister and I took Olivia to "O'Hare Hareport" to see the live bunnies. It was set up really cute at Smart Toys and Books, but as you can see by the pics, the bunnies weren't really into being friendly at the moment. They all crowded around the plane in the middle. Olivia finally got to touch two when Teresa held her over the cage. She loved it, even though I was a little disappointed in the bunny behavior!

And check out who I found smiling in Nana's arms. Nana made me take her out of the picture.

6 Months

Can you believe my sweet baby is already 6 months old? I know I can't. Ana Blair continues to be the sweet piece of the puzzle that has completed our little family. She is so happy, so sweet and she is really starting to be funny. She is still a big baby, 17lbs. 15oz. and 26 1/4 inches long. She is eating baby food and has like everything I've given her so far. She will only eat squash if its mixed with her cereal though. She has a lot more interest in food than formula these days. I am pretty sure she is working on a tooth right now, but nothing has surfaced. Isn't that what all moms say when their babies are cranky? And she is enjoying time on her tummy more and more. She can get her knees up, but can't support her weight with her arms. She can sit up unsupported for a tiny bit and she has started sleeping on her tummy with her bottom up in the air (Olivia did that). She sleeps about 12 hours at night and takes two 1 1/2 hour to 2 hour naps during the day. And her newest trick is that she will shake hands if you stick your hand out and say, "How do you do?" We are all crazy about her, especially big sister!
Here she is in her best "crawling" position!
