Dollywood!

Last week Michael took a day off to take Olivia to Dollywood for the day! We were all worn out once it was over, but we had a lot of fun! Olivia loved the County Fair area and there were plenty of rides for her to ride with us and by herself! However, once she rode the Scrambler with Mommy and Daddy, the kiddie rides were way too tame for her! She wanted the one that went fast! She did tell me her tummy felt funny after riding the teacup ride with Daddy though! Her and her father really had it out though before we left--he thought her hair should be in a ponytail so she would stay cool and she INSISTED that it should be in a bow. This was the best compromise I could come up with!

Getting ready to "go high on Dumbo" with Mommy.
Michael and I were shocked that she was tall enough to ride the River Rampage ride, and after a day in the sun, getting wet to cool off sounded good to us. Bad idea! Olivia liked it until the first splash hit her. The water was ICE water! And being the lightest person on the boat she got soaked. There were times I couldn't even see her because water had completely engulfed her. She was screaming, "Mommy, I want to go bye-bye!" through the second half of the ride. This is the after picture when she was shaking with cold and a little anger I think.
And this was before we were out of the parking lot of Dollywood, we were all worn out!

"The Pose"

Upon first glance of these pictures, you might not notice anything noteworthy. However, if you look closely, you will see a tiny arm and hand that is connected to my daughter locking her friends in a death grip! Every time we have ever taken pictures of Olivia and Emma Grace together, this has been the "go to pose." I could probably find ten pictures like this and I'm sure Tammy has even more of them. Then, when I was looking through the pics, trying to decide which ones to use to prove my point I noticed that Lexy isn't safe either!
You might notice that Olivia looks perfectly content in each of these pictures, but there is a small element of fear on poor little Emma Grace and Lexy's faces! Olivia loves them both so much and we are blessed to have them (and their patience) in our lives!
The girls showing they can still be friends even while cheering for opposite teams.
After a long day at the pumpkin patch, Emma Grace doesn't even have the strength to fight back!
Getting ready to go "on stage."
Olivia and Lexy had just exchanged Christmas gifts here. I think its clear Olivia LOVED her new baby!
