Fantasy of Trees

Yesterday, rather than braving the malls, my mom, Pattie, sisters, Olivia and Ana Blair decided to visit Fantasy of Trees. We started out the morning with a girls only breakfast at Mimi's Cafe and then headed on to the event. Olivia loved it, Ana Blair slept through it, and the adults were worn out when we left.
Olivia was SO nervous about seeing Santa. She cried last year, but knew she had to be brave if she was going to take her baby sister with her this year. She kept telling Ana Blair not to cry, I think she was really talking to herself. While we stood in the line, her emotions ran the gamut, she went from excited to nervous to full out "I don't want to." But she smiled for the camera and froze there. She wouldn't get down, she waited until I came to pick her up off of Santa's lap. She said she asked him for a baby, but forgot to ask him for a pink car so she wants to write him a letter.
Her face while we waited for Santa
Riding the carousel, why does she always have gum in her mouth when I am trying to take pictures?
Getting her face painted
Trying to model her candy cane painted on her face, but she kept turning her head the other way at the last minute

Olivia and Pattie or "Pabbie" as Olivia calls her
Olivia and Kiki on the teacups ride
Olivia and Titi on the carousel
Yes, Ana Blair was there, but this is what she did all day long, what a tough life!

Thanksgiving Day

Yesterday we went to Spring City to Pattie and Alvin's house for Thanksgiving, it was such a nice and relaxing day. I don't think I held a child all day long! Olivia, for the first time in her life, sat down to a real Thanksgiving meal with us and ate actual food!! My child is very picky and won't even eat macaroni like normal children. She's like her daddy in the fact that she is a meat eater though! Her plate had plenty of turkey and ham on it!

This isn't the best picture of Ana Blair, but just to prove that she actually was there! She slept in her carseat all through the meal and we actually ended up having to wake her up because I was afraid she wouldn't sleep that night, she is such a good baby!
See her cute fall gown that Cookie painted for her!

Happy Turkey Day!

Yesterday was Olivia's Thanksgiving Feast at preschool. My mom came and took care of Ana Blair so I could go to the party. What a cute pilgrim!
Olivia says she is thankful for Mommy, Daddy, Ana Blair, the rain and the sun.
This was taken close to the end of the meal, notice how little food has been eaten from her plate. She was starved after school. Also notice the juice cup next to her that about five minutes later was completely in her lap. Her pants, shoes and socks were soaked!!
The table, the other 3 year old class was dressed like Indians.
Sunday morning before church in her cute turkey dress Cookie bought her!
I am thankful for my wonderful husband and my two sweet girls, even if I can't get a decent picture of the two of them together!

Happy Birthday Lexy!

Last Sunday we got to go to Olivia's friend Lexy's 3rd birthday party. It was a fun afternoon, but I didn't really get any great pictures because I was trapped under a hungry baby with a big bottle for a lot of the party! It was at Sprout Studio and turned out really cute, all the kids had a blast!

A Swing and a Miss

Another failed attempt at pictures of the girls together...
Really? Really?

Pizza Day!

Thursday was Pizza Day at Olivia's preschool. All of the kids and teachers wear their FCCP tees on that day. This is my effort to make a cute outfit out of it! I think it turned out pretty cute, considering how cold it was!
You can tell she was pretty pleased with her look

Gobble Gobble!

Should it really be that difficult for me to take a good picture of both of my children together?
Apparently, the answer to that question is yes! Last night I got them all decked out in their turkey dresses for church, a huge occasion for me because it was the first time I've been able to let them match! Well, of course Ana Blair was ready to conk out on the couch, and Olivia is still trying to perfect the art of smiling for the camera. I probably deleted 50 pictures! Here are the best of the worst...

What a little turkey, I could just gobble her up. She tipped the scales at 11 lbs. the other day! She is gaining weight like a champ!
Big Sister
I had to get in on the picture action to record their matching outfits!

Mother/Daughter Dance

Last night was Mother/Daughter Dance night at Olivia's dance school. She didn't feel well (she has a cold), and we tried to convince her to stay home, but she would have none of it. I had to force her to stay home from school today. I knew if she had her way and went, I would be getting a call asking me to come pick my germy child up! Believe it or not, she wanted to go to school because she didn't want to miss her turn at show and tell!
Here we are getting ready for class...not a very physical workout, but the very first physical activity I have done since Ana Blair! I go tomorrow for my 6 week follow-up and hope to be hitting the gym soon, if I can find a time to go!
I only got pictures at the end of class during the "freeze dance." The rest of the time I was right there with her doing the Fireman, Wibble Wobble and Dora the Explorer ballet and tap dances! I think they're all so cute in their matching outfits!
I'm very excited because in January, there is Father/Daughter dance night, so I will be sure to take tons of pictures for that one! Check out two of her teachers in the background, they're SO young! I'm so old!
This isn't a good picture of Olivia, but this is her very first "homework" assignment. She had to decorate a turkey feather for preschool. I thought it was pretty noteworthy that when I asked her what she wanted to put on her feather, she was very clear that we would need glitter, stones and yes, that's right, a hairbow. And it had to be only purple and green, that's it (her words).

She Did It!

It was probably just a one time thing, but it sure felt good at least for one night, but Ana Blair slept from 11 until 7:30 this morning!

Ana Blair is 1 Month Old!

Yay! We made it through the first month! Actually, it has been a lot easier than it was the first time around. This was Ana Blair's first effort at a smile, I'm pretty sure it was an accident, but she just looked at the camera and grinned. She hasn't done it again, so I think it was a fluke. Olivia's finger is in the picture because she saw her smile too and was so excited!
Ana Blair is such a good baby, she eats good (really good, check out those chubby cheeks). Olivia never liked to eat, so it is nice having a baby that will eat in 30 minutes--Olivia would take at least 45 minutes to an hour. The only time she gets upset is when she's hungry. She sleeps pretty good too (knock on wood). We usually lay her down around 10 or 11 and she'll sleep until 5. Again, big sis was never that easy! She's so sweet and we feel so blessed that God gave us this little angel to complete our family!
I couldn't leave Olivia out, she's such a good big sister!

Halloween

Here is Dorothy getting ready for trick or treating. Daddy took her out while Ana Blair and I stayed at home to hand out candy.
Silly girl, but it is a good picture of Toto
Wait a minute...I thought Dorothy was never supposed to take these shoes off...
